Hastings regatta. To celebrate 150 years of the Hastings Rowing Club

On the 19th May this big event for the town will be hosted from the rowing club on Hastings seafront, left side of the pier racing towards the harbour and back.

 This year is the 150th year of the Hastings Rowing club, one of the oldest sports club in the town formed in 1868 under the Brassey institute.

Celebrating this, club members have been very busy working hard putting together this year’s Hastings Regatta.

Clubs from all around Sussex & Kent such as Deal, Dover, Folkestone, Worthing Shoreham, Eastbourne, Bexhill and of course Hastings Rowing Club,  which you may see some familiar faces  racing in over 25 races.

These range from junior u18 up to Super vets with singles, pairs and quads and sweep 4s rowers.

Yes, the competition will be fierce with many competitive rowers aiming to win at all cost.

The Regattas are always well supported by spectators from all the towns taking part.
